Pack-It-All is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII). Your packing lists contain only the content you create—we never ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal details beyond what is required for authentication.
Pack-It-All offers two ways to use the application:
When you use Pack-It-All without signing in, all your packing lists, items, and preferences are stored locally in your browser's storage. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete this information.
When you sign in with Google, your packing lists are synchronized to our secure cloud servers. This enables you to access your lists across multiple devices and ensures your data is backed up. We store only your packing list content and a unique user identifier—no personal information from your Google account is retained.
We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in, Google provides us with a unique identifier to associate your data. We do not store your email address, profile picture, or any other personal information from your Google account. The authentication tokens are handled securely and used only to verify your identity.
When you use cloud sync, we store only:
We do not store: your name, email address, phone number, location history, IP addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.
When you add a destination to your packing list, we display real weather information for that location. To do this, the app sends only the destination's geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) to a third-party weather provider (Open-Meteo). We do not send any data that identifies you as a user.
Weather data is refreshed no more than every 8 hours from the last successful update.
For local-only mode, the security of your information depends on your device's security measures. For cloud sync mode, your data is stored on secure Microsoft Azure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
You can delete your packing lists at any time within the app. For local-only data, clearing your browser storage will remove all data.
Account Deletion: If you wish to delete all your cloud-synced data, you can use the "Delete Account" feature in the app. This permanently removes all your packing lists and settings from our servers. Your locally stored data on your device will not be affected. To fully revoke Pack-It-All's access to your Google account after deletion, you can visit your Google Account permissions page.
